For over 30 years, Channel Islands Prosthetics Orthotics has been providing the latest in artificial limbs and orthopedic braces.
Channel Islands Prosthetics-Orthotics (CIPO) is a Ventura County based, full service facility, providing state of the art prosthetics and orthotics. We at CIPO work together as a team from the patient's initial visit through recovery, to ensure each patient receives professional and compassionate care.
Meet the Prosthetist:
John McAtee, B.S., C.P., FAAOP– Owner
John received his postgraduate training in Orthotics and Prosthetics, from the School of Medicine at UCLA in 1980-1981. He completed a prosthetic residency program at the Child Amputee Prosthetic Project at UCLA and became certified in Prosthetics in 1983. He established and has been co-owner in CIPO in Ventura County for over 30 years, handling difficult prosthetic cases, at all levels, ranging from congenital to sensitive diabetic cases.
Meet the Orthotist:
Christopher Holloway, B.A., C.O. - Owner
Christopher attended the post graduate certificate program in orthotics at L.A. County/USC-Rancho Los Amigos Research and Education Institute. He was staff orthotist at Stanford University Medical Center Department of Rehabilitation Engineering. He has treated patients as certified orthotist for over 10 years.

Reneé
has been with CIPO since he was 19 years old! He is a Certified Prosthetic Assistant and has been assisting John for over 28 years!
Waldo
has been with CIPO for over 11 years! He is an Orthopetic Technician and assists Chris.

is a Prosthetic Technician and has been assisting John for years.
Ted
is a Certified Prosthetist/
Orthotist and is CIPO's newest member. He sees both Prosthetic and Orthotic patients.
